About AFRI-BIKE

Afri-Bike follows our journey as we aim to become one of the first couples since the pandemic to cycle from Kenya to South Africa. For over 8,000 km we will face some of the world's toughest cycling conditions, pedalling through long stretches of desert, over challenging mountain ranges and of course dusty dirt roads. There's also the matter of wildlife to contend with if we want to safely navigate the continent.  ​

This challenge has been born, partly out of a desire for adventure, but also as a means to promote our belief that bicycles have the power to transform lives.  With every pedal stroke, we aim to raise awareness and funds to support the World Bicycle Relief's mission of mobilising people through the power of bicycles.​

We are Ollie and Biba, two adventure enthusiasts who are embarking on an exciting journey to cycle the length of Africa. This journey is in part a personal challenge but also a mission to help others, promote sustainable travel and raise awareness about the importance of protecting our planet. 

We are passionate about exploring the world and are keen to challenge ourselves to continue doing this whilst minimising our carbon footprint. By showcasing the possibilities of bikes as an eco-friendly mode of transportation, we hope to inspire others to make more conscious travel choices.
